About Us

Who We Are

Kiracofe Angus was founded in 2017 in Churchville, Virginia which is located eight miles west of Staunton, Virginia in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. The Kiracofe Family has a rich history and connection in the farming community for over the past 40 years in Augusta County. In 2015, Karl Kiracofe, founder, had the inspiration to make a transition into a fully operating Purebred Angus operation evolving from a once commercial cattle herd. Karl's interest was sparked by his desire to benefit the Angus cattle breed with a focus on breeding offspring with prominent and outstanding motherly qualities, $ values, and continuing the bloodlines of elite cattle this breed was built upon.

Today, we focus on maintaining historic bloodlines from noted names in the industry while continuing to improve our herd's overall quality and genetics. Kiracofe Angus works with top-of-the-line mothers to provide their donor cattle with Embryo Transfers allowing them to have more, higher quality cattle on the ground faster. They also focus on breeding back the mothers through AI to bulls with the best numbers in the breed to carry her genetics further.
